Ako 15 Class of 2019
E raka te mauī, e raka te katau
A community can use all the skills of its people
We have 29 Year 7 and 8 students in our Ako this year working together as part of the Waihi Whanau, meeting together throughout the week for Fitness and PE as well as other activities.
It has been great getting to know each other over the last two busy weeks, where we have been swimming at Hawera High School, learning about Beach Safety at Opunake beach and having fun learning in our classroom.
We have also been developing our class treaty over the last few weeks, which has focussed on developing a class culture of support, acceptance, collaboration and high expectations.
Throughout the year we look forward to continually working to support each other and helping each other to learn and grow.
